As a general rule, I don’t buy fast fashion clothes. I believe in fashion sustainability and prefer to buy classic clothes with good quality fabric and great workmanship. Online fast fashion has flooded Facebook and IG recently. We’ve all seen IG models in beautiful clothes for really awesome prices. The main advantage of all these online retail stores is that you can try trendy fashion pieces without breaking the bank. Let’s face it, who doesn’t like saving? At some point, we’ve all probably read bad reviews of ill fitted clothes, poor quality, people receiving clothes that look nothing like the pictures, people not receiving their order in a timely manner, or just not receiving it at all.
Now, not all fast fashion stores are created equal. I’ve heard good things about some of them. I’ve seen some cute clothes from some of my friends that were purchased from Amazon, Chicwish, Fashion Nova and so on. I decided to give Amazon a try and purchase this cute and trendy organza top. I ordered a large size based on reviews. After receiving my top, the first thing I noticed was how wrinkled it was, with uneven hemlines and some loose threads at the seams. None of these issues made it a deal breaker because I only paid $13.99 for it. With a little bit of ironing, the top actually looks pretty decent. I styled it with skinny jeans and black suede slingback heels. I will probably only wear this top a few more times. I’m not sure if online fast fashion is my cup of tea, but I can totally understand why people buy them.
